Moscow Exchange to analyze Tuesday morning trade data in detail

MOSCOW, Dec 14 (PRIME) -- The Moscow Exchange plans to analyze the Tuesday morning trade data thoroughly and is ready to discuss liquidity support measures with the market, Boris Blokhin, director of the bourse’s stock market department, said in a news briefing on Tuesday.

The MOEX Russia Index plummeted by 7.3% to 3,352.53, the lowest point since March, in the morning. As of 4.41 p.m. Moscow time, the index had regained the losses and had even grown by 0.1%.

“It is obvious that we have already analyzed it, and we will continue the thorough analysis of today’s morning trade. We will discuss today’s morning trade with the market players, and we may even discuss additional measures to support liquidity,” Blokhin said.

A Moscow Exchange spokesperson told PRIME previously that the market activity during the morning trade was higher than the usual activity during the main session. The trade turnover exceed 40 billion rubles, which is more than one third of the average daily trade turnover.
